Book Blogger New Year's Challenge - January 7, 2014.

Book Blogger New Year's Challenge

Day 7. Top 10 Book Blogger Pet Peeves.

10. Captcha.  Nothing worse than writing a nice long comment and then you have to decipher inscrutable letters to post it.

9. Unreadable blogs.  (Hard to read font color or style.)

8.  Bad Blogger behavior. (Grabbing, pushing, plagiarising, gossiping, cliquish behavior.)

7. Bad author behavior.  (Bullying, ungracious behavior and snarky posts when someone doesn't like their book.)

6. When authors friend me on Facebook or other social media only to push their books on me.

5.  When authors are astonished that I don't want their free book to review.

4. Too many books to read!  Seriously, I wish I could stop time so I could read everything I want to or become a vampire or Highlander so I could live forever and read.

3. When I want my blog a certain way (design, formatting) and I can't figure out how to make it that way.

2. When I get in a rut or slump.

1. When I put blogger pressure on myself and that just exacerbates #5.  So really, my biggest pet blogger peeve is directed at myself.

Do you agree or disagree with any of my choices?  What are some of your blogger pet peeves?

Yes! #5 really gets to me. Even though it is free, doesn't mean want to read it!

#10 - that was on mine as well.

#1 - Yep, I get all upset when I have 10 books to read and authors are bugging me as to why I won't read their book so I add it to the list and then get upset when I am not reading what I WANT to read.

Great list!

I would agree with your list :)

Yes on #4 definitely because that would be the only way I'd get through all my books too. :)

#10 - Captcha is the eater of comments. Get just one of those crazy letters wrong on a mobile phone and POOF...comment gone. I try to copy + paste my comment when I'm at a PC to protect from the devilish captcha, but my phone is defenseless.

#3 I spent hours the other night trying to figure out how to fix a formatting error in a post. I finally bandaid the situation. Still can't figure out how I broke it...but it looks okay now.

I agree with all of these! #6 really irks me on Goodreads. It makes me ignore a lot of friend requests that may be from nice people but I'm now too gun shy to accept. One too many book pitches...

I did get a timeturner for Christmas, but have yet to figure it out. Once I do, we're totally using it to read ALL THE BOOKS!

I completely agree with #4! It made me lol because I'd said the exact same thing to my sister a few days ago haha If only we could all be Vampires and read every book ever... Although even then, I don't think we'd have the time because new books are constantly being released! *sigh*

Wow.. I love how you did your post. I don't even try to fix things on my blog.. if I try it just gets worse. I am so lucky to have a daughter, who at times gets very ticked at me because I have tried. But she goes in for me and fixes things. She also will proof read things for me as well.

@Shari-This is why I don't really take review requests. I want to read what *I* want to read.

@Felicia - I need some of your RX

@Rachel - I wonder if authors realize that's unprofessional? Maybe they don't care.

@Cindy-Thanks! I would totally become a vampire just for that reason.

@Mariya-LOL, too funny!

@Julie-TY for stopping by. : )

@Becky-Yes, #4...just yes.

@Lizzy-I know! Captcha has eaten so many of my comments. Then I don't have the heart to try to recreate it. Regarding #3-Sometimes I think "Meh...no one's gonna read this anyway." LOL.

@Logan-I agree. I do accept all friend requests, but once they solicit me they're gone.

@Kate-as usual, you make me laugh.

@Farhana-Yes, but at least if we'd live forever we'd have a chance.

@Rev. Kim-Can I borrow your daughter?
