New Year's Eve Weekend Readathon!

I am not really into New Year's Eve, but I do love getting an extra day off and the excuse to cuddle up on the couch to eat snacks and maybe have a cocktail. So, instead of Ringing in the New Year, I will be "Reading" in the New Year with a self imposed reading marathon.

Anyone who wants to join can either leave a comment below or just use the following hashtag on Twitter: #NYEreadathon.  If you'd like to blog about the New Year's Eve Weekend Readathon, feel free!

This spontaneous readathon will run from Friday December 30, 2011 through Monday, January 2, 2012.

My Book List (subject to change):
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake.
Enclave by Ann Aguirre.
The Reincarnationist by MJ Rose.

Rules:
None.  Just read as much as you can this weekend and have fun.  Check in on Twitter or post on your blog.  Tell us what you're reading, how you're liking your book, what page you're on or what drinks you are mixing up to celebrate the New Year.  If you do write a blog post, please leave your link in the comments section so other people can check it out.

Happy New Year everyone!

Remember to use hashtag #NYEreadathon!

Good luck with your awesome readathon of awesomeness! I love Enclave whole-heartedly and Karen thinks Anna Dressed in Blood is great, so you've got some good reads, there. :-)

Very fun! I'll probably be home reading too, so I'll try to pop by the Twitter chat. I just got Enclave from the library this week so maybe I'll read it with you. :)

I think I'll read Anna Dressed in Blood first and then hopefully get to Enclave. I'm a slow reader so these readathons are essential for me!

I'm going to unofficially join you. I'm doing The Book Monsters Pick Your A Thon so I'm actually doing a combination of reading and reviewing/blogging between now and the 3rd. But I'm not going to get much reading done on New Year's Eve, as my husband's aunt died yesterday, after a sudden brain aneurysm last week, and we have her funeral on Saturday and then we usually have my mom over on New Year's Eve and we play games and watch movies...along with a little bit of alcoholic refreshment (just a little). =O) So I will try to pop by on Twitter from time to time. Now you said it ends Monday, but the third is Tuesday, so is it Monday or Tuesday?

Happy New Year to you and happy reading!

I'm in! I finished There is No Dog this morning, hoping to read some The Psychology of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- loving it but it's not a super fast read!

hey I'm Francisco from Spain I have just discovered this blog on the blog roll of Little miss zombie because that readathon word jump to me... hehehe... it's a very interesting idea for people not going out and although I will use the weekend for reading some articles from blogs I follow I will read some book too, I'm now reading the spanish translation of some Robert E Howard horror stories very interesting but I prefer his sword and sorcery and historicals

you've got a very eclectic selection of readings on this blog... fantasy, horror, romance... maybe my favourite genre is the modern horror being Stephen King one of my favourites, I prefer quiet horror more than gothic or gore

have a good readathon and a good new year

Excellent Kate! I *just* finished Girl w/Dragon Tattoo & loved it. Never heard of The Pschology of it...sounds intriguing. I have to read the other two Millenium books.

Hi Francisco. I actually mostly like paranormal or anything spooky and I love horror. I really don't do much romance. I haven't heard of Howard. I will have to check him out.
