Dusty Volumes Contest (November 2011)

Photobucket

I'm up to four Dusty Volumes!  Woohoo!  Okay, maybe not so impressive, but I'm a laid back blogger and this is a casual challenge.  There is enough pressure in life, so no pressure here!  There is still another month and a half to go so who knows how many Dusty Volumes we'll all be able to get to.

My most recent Dusty Volumes Challenge novel was Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, which I read in October. You can read my post HERE.

To celebrate my fourth Dusty Volume I'm having a contest!

Sorry, this contest is ONLY open to participants of the 2011 Dusty Volumes Challenge participants as of this post. (But don't be sad, you can always sign up to join in on future fun.  Just click on the Dusty Volumes button above or in the sidebar for rules.)

Please Note: There will be one more contest close to the New Year.  I will simply be drawing a winner from the reviews posted.  To increase your chances, post a Dusty Volumes review.

Contest:
I'm giving away a $10 gift e-certificate to the bookstore of your choice. (If the store of your choice charges for sending an e-certificate, the cost will be deducted from the $10.)

To Enter:
Leave a comment letting me know what you liked about the Dusty Volumes Challenge and/or what you would have liked to see more of.

Rules:
~See my contest policy HERE.
~Contest ends Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at midnight (EST).
~Please leave your e-mail address in your comment or make sure your name leads to an e-mail address. If I can't find an e-mail unfortunately, you will be disqualified.
~Winners will be chosen by Random.org.
~If I cannot contact the winner within 72 hours the next winner will be chosen.

Thanks again for hosting this! I'm making my way through Frankenstein (as you saw) hoping to meet my goal. Once I finish the last LOTR book this month, I'll do one big review on that, and then I'll have one book left for the challenge. I can do it! < Pep talk.

What I liked - the challenge is helping me meet my personal goals of mixing in classics with my normal reads. :D

As Jennifer said, thanks for hosting this! I'm reading Anna Karenina, though I don't really have a goal. :D
The fact that I actually READ some more classics is why I love this challenge. I never read enough classics!

I wish I would have kept up with this challenge like I had planned, but *sighs* I failed most of the challenges I signed up for. :(

But there is always next year! LOL

I liked th social aspect of it and how you tend to read the same novels as I do. I axtually just pulled out the Shirley Jackson book you read last month and now I'm more motivated to read it:)

Well it was fun because it took me out of my comfort zone! I normally read a bunch of James Patterson and some MG Fiction. I still have about one more to go before I reach my goal of 4! I'm glad to say that this will be one of the few challenges I end up finishing :)
