5. Worst book of 2013.

I can't really use the word "worst", but I didn't love The Accursed by Joyce Carol Oates.   However, this won't stop me from reading her other books.

Also, while I adore Peter Straub, I didn't quite get A Dark Matter.  It's one of those books that I feel kind of stupid for not appreciating and not relating to the deeper meaning behind it.

4. The Books of 2014 I don't want to miss -

~The Raven Boys Cycle, #3 - Don't know the title and I'm not sure if it actually comes out in 2014, but I don't want to miss it.

~Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor.  I bought the second one the day it came out.  I'll see what happens with this one's release day.

~3. Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King.  Woo hoo!

What am I missing?  Any other gems coming out this year that you know of?

3.  The Books of 2013 I'm sad I missed.

Well, I don't feel like I missed anything.  That's the beauty of books.  You can always read them at any time.

However, I do realize that sometimes you feel like you missed the boat.  And then there's the books and  series you plan to read, but over the course of time you hear how they end and then you're not sure you want to read them anymore.

How do you feel about this?  Do you have books you feel like you "missed" or do you just read them at your own pace?

2. My pros and cons of Blogging list.

Cons -
~The Pressure!  That self inflicted pressure of posting interesting, intellectual and fun content several times a week.
~Bad Blogger Behavior.  I think we all have encountered this.  Books and swag snatched out of our hands.  Being pushed at a con.  And to top if all off, publishers and other professionals lump us all in as participating in that bad behavior.  Can you blame them?
~Other drama.  Oh do I really need to go into it?

Pros -
~The Awesome People I've Met!  I've met some of my dearest friends via blogging and I'm so thankful and blessed.  I've corresponded with sweet, thoughtful people from all over the world.
~Getting to Meet Favorite Authors!  I've met Robert McCammon, Charles de Lint, Joe Hill and saw Stephen King speak twice.  Before I started blogging, I don't know that I would have been aware of the conventions and events that have brought me in the path of the
~The locations I've travelled to to meet said authors.   New Orleans several times, Salt Lake City, Savannah...One thing I love almost as much as reading is travelling.  So happy I've been able to combine the two.
~Getting to talk to people in person, on blogs and social media about books!  Sure I have people in my life to talk books with, but that list is very limited.  The blogging community has
~Book recommendations!  Maybe this is good and bad.  I've become exposed to so many more books after I started blogging.  It's like information overload!  I just wish I had more time to read them all.

Book Blogger New Year's Challenge - January 1, 2014.

1. My Blogger Resolutions - I stopped making resolutions a looong time ago.  I don't see why I should start again with Blogger Resolutions.  Let's go with hopes instead.  They don't sound so ominous.

My hopes for 2014 in regards to blogging is that I get some more enthusiasm back for actually sitting down and typing on my computer.  I still love to read and share books, but it's been very difficult for me to sit and write a review.  I hope it gets easier and soon!

I've also been lagging in the Social Media department and I miss it.  I love talking to people on Twitter and discovering information and where the links will take me.  So I hope to get back on the wagon with that as well.
