This past weekend, I went to see author & photographer Douglas Keister at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery present a slideshow regarding his most recent book, “Stories in Stone: A Guide to Cemetery Symbolism.” It was a humorous and interesting evening and Douglas imparted his wisdom of symbols on tombstones, the history of cemeteries and graveyards around the world.
