Have Book, Will Travel

I'll be heading to Orlando tomorrow and I'm looking forward to the time I'll have on the plane to read. I usually try to bring paperbacks with me when I travel and leave my current hardcover at home to be picked up where I left off when I return. I also leave books in the hotel room or give them away if I finish them. But, I don't really want to put down Gwenhwyfar (Mercedes Lackey) for a whole week, so I'll be bringing it with me. I'll also be taking it back home with me even if I do finish it. It's one I want to keep!

I also usually bring a spare book, just in case. My spare for this trip is Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. I've looked at it so many times in the book store and finally bought it.

Arthurian Mythology

Right now I'm reading Gwenhwyfar: The White Spirit by Mercedes Lackey. I love books on Arthurian legends and this one is very hard to put down. Lackey is utilizing myths that I've only heard about in passing...for example, that King Arthur had 3 wives. It's an interesting take, told in Gwenhwfar's voice and uses more Welsh mythology & name places than I've seen used in Arthurian stories.
